The 10 Best Rock’n’Roll Hotels in America

After visiting Villa Rock Star at the Eden Rock Hotel in St. Barts a couple of years ago (that’s the hotel in the picture above), I pitched an idea of a coffee table book featuring the best rock’n’roll hotels on the planet. A few publishers were interested, but the amount of time and effort required to create something like this proved too time consuming and expensive. I’m hoping someone somewhere will one day take up the challenge.

I have this weird fascination with hotels that host rock stars and have managed to stay in a few over the years. I’ve never seen any actual rock stars, but I did enjoy the vibe.

USA Today has this list of what they consider to be the Top 10 rock’n’roll hotels in America. It’s not a bad list, but how can you not include the Chateau Marmont? Or the Mercer in New York?
