10 Supermodel Appearances in Music Videos
By Adam Morrison
Whether they’re lip syncing, acting, dancing, or just standing there and looking pretty, supermodels have been featured in some notable music videos over the years. Here are some examples, and feel free to add more in the comments.
1. Christie Brinkley in Billy Joel’s “Uptown Girl” in 1983.
2. Helena Christensen in Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game” in 1989.

Who are we missing? C’mon! There’s gotta be more!
Tawny Kitaen in numerous mid-1980’s Whitesnake videos.
Julie Pankhurst (keyboard), Patty Kelly (guitar), Mak Gilchrist (bass guitar) and Julia Bolino (guitar) and Kathy Davies (drums), who appeared in Robert Palmer videos in the mid 1980’s.
Not a supermodel, per se, but Courtney Cox danced with Springsteen for Dancing in the Dark.
Another Naomi Campbell for Michael Jackson “in the closet”
Naomi Campbell also did a better-than-serviceable job of fronting Duran Duran (with other substitute members Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen, Eva Herzigova and Yasmin Le Bon) in their “Girl Panic!” video, which is somehow genuinely good stuff.
Paulina Porizkova in The Cars’ “Drive”. Of course, she became Mrs. Ric Ocasek. Many still wonder how he pulled that off.
