A behind-the-scenes look at restoring tracks for The Tragically Hip’s Saskadelphia album

Reels and reels of two-inch multitrack tape were used in the recording of The Hip’s Road Apples in 1990. After the sessions, most of those tapes were lost for years until drummer Johnny Fay tracked them down, had them refurbished, and then digitized. Here’s a behind-the-scenes video showing how one of the songs was resurrected.
