A Foo Fighters horror movie? Believe it or not.
Dave Grohl’s resume
- He’s been in two legendary bands, both of which are in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
- Countless guest performances with the biggest names in rock.
- Director of multiple documentaries
- Best-selling author
- A guest appearance on Apple TV’s The Morning Show where he got to hug Jennifer Aniston.
- Horror movie star.
Wait. That last one needs an explanation.
The Dave and the Foo Fighters will appear in Studio 666, a horror-comedy that will open in 2,000+ theatres on February 25, 2022. Shot in the same (haunted) house where the band recorded the Medicine at Midnight album, Dave says “After decades of ridiculous music videos and numerous music documentaries under our collective belts, it was finally time to take it to the next level… A full-length feature horror comedy film.”
So what’s it about? Dave says” Hilarious gore that fucking rocks.” I quote from the press release:
In STUDIO 666, the legendary rock band Foo Fighters move into an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history to record their much anticipated 10th album. Once in the house, Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band.
No trailer yet, but one has gotta be coming soon.
