A Gorillaz documentary is coming: Reject False Icons

While it’s not surprising that Gorillaz are getting into cinema, it is a bit surprising that it took them this long.

Come December 16, there will be a one-night-only theatrical screening of Reject False Icons, a documentary on the making of the cartoon band’s last two albums, Humanz (2017) and The Now Now (2019), as well as the subsequent tours.

This is film is being pushed as “the first ever all-access immersive journey into the world of Gorillaz and its extended family.” That family will included everyone from Noel Gallagher to Mavis Staples.
