A new Tragically Hip video: “Ouch” from Saskadelphia. Can you spot all the Easter eggs?

“Ouch,” the lead-off track and official single from The Tragically Hip’s recent Saskadelphia album, now has its own video.

Produced by Craig Fleming and directed by Sara Basso, it features Jay Baruchel (Goon: Last of the Enforcers), his wife Dunham-Baruchel, and Rick Mercer and is set in the fictional town of Saskadelphia. Yes, it’s a little Twin Peaks-ish with maybe a little of From Dusk Til Dawn thrown in.

Fans should watch carefully for over 30 Easter eggs implanted in the video, each offering a nod to something in the band’s history. Find them and share on social media.

By the way, Saskadelphia reached #1 on the Canadian sales charts, racking up first-week sales of 12,410 units, a spectacular number for this day and age.
