A New Version of “The Spirit of Radio” by Kobra and the Lotus

About time a band with a female frontperson covered this song. I mean, who else has Geddy Lee’s range? This is from Kobra and The Lotus‘ upcoming EP Words of the Prophets which is coming August 28. It also features covers of Triumph (“Lay It on the Line”), April Wine (“Sign of the Gypsy Queen”), Allanah Myles (“Black Velvet”) and BTO “(Let It Ride”).

  • It makes me nervous when bands cover songs written and played by very talented musicians. Some seriously big shoes to fill. It can go one of two ways, and I think KATL pulled it off. Nice to have a female keep up with Geddy Lee’s vocals.
