A Rap Song for Back to the Future Day

Back to the Future Day

So it’s finally October 21, 2015, the date for which Doc Brown set the controls of the DeLorean in Back to the Future II. I have two music-related pieces of news.

Item 1: Corey “Sunglasses at Night” Hart screen-tested for the role of Marty McFly when Michael J. Fox was initially unavailable. He apparently got it but turn them down.

Item 2: A rapper named Kosha Dillz has released a track just for today. This is interesting in the sense that in 1985, rap was still very much in its infancy. Very, very, very few people were even using the term “hip hop” back then. The biggest artists of the time were probably Run-DMC, Grandmaster Flash and Afrika Bambaataa. How things have changed, yes?
