A short film on the final performance of Sid Vicious

If you’ve finished Danny Boyles Pistols miniseries on Disney+ (if you haven’t, I recommend it), you might be interested in some footage of Sid Vicious’ last performance at Max’s Kansas City in New York in September 1978. Within a few weeks, his girlfriend, Nancy Spungen, would be stabbed to death and Sid charge with her murder. A few months after that, he’d be dead of an OD. This is a trailer for a short film called The Final Curtain.

This is part of a touring double-bill of movies entitled Punk Rock Movie Night. It’ll feature this short film on Sid along with a doc on the history of Max’s entitled Nightclubbing: The Birth of Punk Rock in NYC. Here’s that trailer.

Here’s where and when the double bill will screen.
