A terrorist attack was planned for a music venue in Brussels. Police foiled it in time.

According a report in The Brussels Times, four people have been arrested for planning a terrorist attack on a local music venue called La Boutanique, one of the city’s most important places for live music. Swept up in the investigation was an 18-year-old adult and three minors, one of which was no more than 15.

The group has been charged with “participating in the activities of a terrorist group and preparatory acts with a view to committing a terrorist attack.” The alleged goal was to carry about the same kind of mission we saw in 2015 at the Bataclan in Paris where 90 people were killed and hundreds injured when an Eagles of Death Metal show was interrupted by men with automatic rifles and suicide vests.

The Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office says that everyone involved appear to be ISIS sympathizers. They’d met online and were communicating via “closed chat groups.” According to reports, they were planning do so something in the next few weeks.
