About Time: A Documentary on Shoegaze

Shoegaze has always had its detractors.  I, however, am not one of them.  I love loud, floaty, fuzzy bands like My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Lush and the Jesus and Mary Chain.

There’s a new documentary on the subject called Beautiful Noise by director Eric Green.  It’s finished, but its worldwide release still needs to be financed.  Watch the trailer and then have a look at their Kickstarter page.

  • I still regularly listen to Lush. Their sound is so timeless even after nearly 2 decades. I'm glad this film is being made. I'll fund the kickstarter project if they had a reward tier "Tea with Miki Berenyi".

For those looking for a sound similar to Lush (Split-era), check out the band Asobi Seksu.
