Is AC/DC Over? Angus Young Isn’t Sure (But It’s Probably Time to Pack It In)

To everything there is a season. All good things must come to an end. Etc.

There’s not much left of AC/DC anymore. Angus Young is there, of course, but just about everyone else is gone. Brian Johnson is on the beach with irreparable hearing damage. Malcolm Young is out forever due to ever-worsening dementia. Phil Rudd has all kinds of legal issues that prevent him from doing almost anything and has been replaced by former (1988-94) drummer Chris Slade. Cliff Williams has announced his retired.

Let’s face the brutal truth: it’s come time to pull the plug. I hate to say it, but after 43 years, it’s time for the Thunder from Down Under to call it a day. And Angus is certainly thinking about it. From Rolling Stone:

At this point, I don’t know. We were committed to finishing the tour. Who knows what I’ll feel after? When you sign on and say, “I’m gonna do this and that,” it’s always good to say at the end of it, “I’ve done all I said I would do.”

Best face things head on rather than turn into a joke. Go with dignity, guys.
