Actor Vincent D’Onofrio Goes All Spoken Word Punk Poet on Us

Vincent D’Onofrio–most people will associate him with Law and Order, but he’ll always be the Bad Bug from Men to Black to me–has a new project which can only be described as “punk poet.”

Slim Bone Head Volt, a co-production with musician Dana Lyn, is described as “a poem, a stink, a grating noise, a quality of light, a tone, a habit, a nostalgia, a dream. Slim Bone Head Volt is the gathered and scattered, tin and iron and rust and splintered wood, chipped pavement and weedy lots and junk heaps of an actor’s brain and a musician’s hands. Its inhabitant are, as the man once said, “whores, pimps, gamblers and sons of bitches,” by which he meant Vincent D’Onofrio.”

Um, okay.

The first single is called “I’m a Hamster.” Click on the image and enjoy.
