Against Me!’s Laura Jane Grace in First On-Camera Interview–And We Can’t See It

As singer Tom Gabel–now properly addressed as Laura Jane Grace–begins his gender reassignment transition, he has to bravely appear in public. She’s just given her first on-camera interview since she made the announcement earlier this spring.

I’d love to watch it but once again, we Canadians are screwed by territorial rights issues.  Click on the video and you get a “Sorry, we’re unable to offer this video users in your region” message.

This pisses me off to such an amazingly high degree that I don’t know where to begin.  I hate this whole nonsense of sandboxing content.  What’s the issue over accessing video an interview?

Yes, there are ways around these geo-blocks and I know about most of them.  And yes, I understand the reasons for putting up these walls.  But in cases like this, it shouldn’t be necessary.
