Ahead of Oasis’ five-night hometown stand in Manchester, let’s take a look at some numbers

The Oasis reunion tour is sucking up a tremendous amount of attention. With the band set to perform five nights at home in Manchester–just try to get a train ticket–here are a few interesting numbers.

Number 1

There’s an excellent chance that the Oasis greatest hits album, Stop the Clocks, will finish the week at number one on the UK album charts. Not bad for an album released in 2006.

320%

There’s a big spike in the streaming of Oasis songs. Spotify reports that last Saturday (July 5), the day after the first show, listening to Oasis tracks went up 320%. The songs with the biggest increase were “Hello” (1,115%), “Bring It Down” (1,000%), and “Fade Away” (1,000%). Gen Z listening was up 50%.

7 years

Radio plays of Oasis in the UK since the reunion are equal to seven years of airtime, averaging 120 plays a day across the country.

US$340

The cost of the new Complete Studio Album Collection.

Want some official Oasis merch? There’s plenty to choose from, but make sure there’s room on the credit card. The prices don’t seem to be deterring these people lined up for an Oasis pop-up merch shop in Birmingham.
