AI has made a Beatles album in the style of Motown

Whatever you think of artificial intelligence, remember that whatever it is today is the worst it will ever be. The technology continues to improve at an astonishing pace.

This recent AI experiment involved taking all 14 songs from the Beatles Rubber Soul album and giving them all a Motown sound. The creator (maybe) is the mysterious Kail Tescar. The only credits on the YouTube video read “Alternate reality recordings. All lyrics written by The Beatles. Music by The Ai Overlords.”

From an objective and scientific point of view, this is extremely well done. Note the subtleties like added tape hiss and the overdriven production sound of classic Motown recordings. From an aesthetic, moral, and artistic point of view, you may be terrified. (More at Boing Boing.)
