WTF?

AI has written a love song. It’s…it’s not good.

Each day brings a new AI engine that does something weird. LovelaceGPT just wrote a love song.

Music, English, and computer science experts at the University of Southampton collaborated with Yaseen Mohammed Osman, a student at the school. They fed the program thousands of love song lyrics and love poems. This is what it came back with.

Delirious ecstasy
Delirious ecstasy!!!
There is the answer of my life
And you’re my biohazard baby!
Oh, I’ll be so much fun
Please don’t cry for me
Oh, you don’t

This is just the start. There’s another six of these things, all written for singer Hannah Williams and an ensemble named Riot Ensemble. They’ve also been set to music under the name Love Letters and will be performed live as part of a 90-minute song cycle. That’s Hannah in the featured image for this post.

Can’t wait.
