Air New Zealand kills off their hip-hop inflight safety video

As a (very) frequent flyer, I’ve developed a weird thing about inflight safety videos, both good and bad (read: boring).

Air New Zealand thought they had a winner back in November when they debuted this ditty done in the style of Run-DMC’s “It’s Tricky.”

It has not gone over well. The airline has pulled the video because it was declared “unbearable” by passengers. Even the flight crews hated it.

A new campaign based on New Zealand tourism will replace it soon.
