American Rappers Want to Film a Music Video in North Korea
North Korea, one of the world’s leading pariah states, is a goofy place. So why would a couple of unknown American rappers want to shoot a music video there? I think we’ve just answered that question, haven’t we?
Pacman and Peso, a duo from DC, are off to North Korea this weekend. Not only have they never done a music video before, they’ve never even been on a plane in their lives. They’ll also visit Beijing (the only real gateway to North Korea for foreigners) and Ulan Baator, Mongolia. This is a helluva first trip.
The goal is to film the first foreign music video in the DPRK. Apparently, this has already been cleared by Kim Jong-Un’s minions.
The trip is being funded by a Kickstarter program which raised $10,000, much of which came from a Wall Street hedge fund manager.
Good luck, dudes. Can’t wait to see the results. Nice ambition, too.
