An Electric Guitar Made from Polyester?

Only wood has the tonal properties when it comes to guitars.  Or does it? 

A couple of companies beg to differ, manufacturing axes from steel, Plexiglas and even from whatever goop they use in high-end 3D printing.  But polyester?  Wouldn’t the result be the electric guitar version of a cheap leisure suit?

Apparently not.  This is the Kompozit, which is made of polyester-sourced fibreglass.  Read more at Gizmag.
