Stat Significant is an informational website that uses the power of numbers to prove or debunk certain things within the entertainment industry. Their latest, “How Common is Drug and Alcohol Abuse Among Music Stars? A Statistical Analysis,” is another interesting case study.

First of all, musicians don’t live as long as regular folk.

The good news, is that abuse of drugs and alcohol among musicians is better than it was back in the 60s and 70s. But it’s also on the upswing again.

And if they’re going to indulge in substance abuse, here’s what they choose.

And what kills them? These drugs.
