An Oasis reunion phone call? What Oasis reunion phone call?

Oasis fans have been praying for a reunion ever since the band broke up before that show in Paris in the summer of 2009. Nothing has happened, of course, although the notion continues to exist as background noise.

Now, though, things seem to be getting real–at least a little. Maybe.

Noel may be softening, perhaps because he’s going through another (expensive) relationship breakup. Liam can always use more money. The payday for an Oasis reunion–even just a limited number of live shoes–would be spectacular. And then there’s Peggy Gallagher, the boys’ mom. She wants her kids to reconcile while she’s still alive.

A couple of months back, Noel said that if Liam is serious about a reunion, he should call him. Here’s an update from an interview Noel gave this week: “Well, I put [a reunion] out there. I mean, he could call me. He’s forever going on about it. You’d have thought by now he’d have some kind of plan. And if he’s got a plan, he should speak to me. He won’t speak to me because he’s a coward.”

He continued: “But he should get some of his people, his agent, to call my people and say, ‘Look, this is what we’re thinking’ and then we’ll have a conversation about it. Until then, he’s a little bit disingenuous. I’m open to a phone call. Other than that, stop playing with the kids, it’s not fair to the fans.”

So…what, then? Is it Liam’s move? He’s the one who’s been most mad for reunion.
