And the Biggest Tour of the Past Few Weeks Was NOT by Justin Bieber

Nope.  Nor Taylor Swift.  It was by–wait for it–Iron Maiden.

Maiden’s summer run through Europe is doing extremely well, grossing just a shade over $19 million from shows between May 19 and July 13.  Total attendance was 259,298 out of a possible 263,638.  Not bad.

Taylor Swift was second with a take of about $18.21 million from three sellout stadium shows (209,723 tickets sold out of a possible 209,723).

Bieber played five sold out arena shows in front of 71,344 people, which was good for $5,673,568.

Further down the list was Pearl Jam who grossed exactly $635,515 by playing in front of 9.687 people in London, Ontario.  That was good for number 9 on this list.

  • Odd that Springsteen isn't there. He's been packing stadiums and arenas across North America and Europe for the past 6 months.
