And the halftime performer at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas will be…

There’s been quite a bit of speculation on who would be the halftime performer at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas this February. The Killers–hometown boys–and Miley Cyrus were the bookmakers’ favourites along with Harry Styles, AC/DC (the Las Vegas mayor championed them), Drake, Billy Eilish, and Imagine Dragons (also hometown boys).

The only person seemed to be out of the running was Taylor Swift. She, frankly, doesn’t need the hassle of a Super Bowl performance and dropped out of the running early.

In fact, in my fast survey of bookies last week, none of them (I think) mentioned Usher. It was announced today (September 24) that he has the gig. Rock fans will have to wait until next year.

The halftime show will be presented by Apple Music. The game is set for February 11.

  • Faux pas! Boner! Blunder! Gaffe!
Definitely should have chosen a hometown band. C’mon, Vegas. What were you thinking?
Hope Usher has the decency to invite some locals to perform with him. 50/50, you think?
