And The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2025 is…

Voting is complete and here are the inductees into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for 2025.

  • Bad Company (2nd in the fan vote)
  • Cyndi Lauper (4th)
  • Joe Cocker (5th)
  • Soundgarden (6th in the fan vote)
  • Chubby Checker (7th)
  • White Stripes (11th in the fan vote)
  • Outkast (12th)

Who didn’t make it? There are a lot of surprises.

  • Phish ran away with the fan vote yet got snubbed by the rest of the voters (There are about 1,200 official voters on the committee.)
  • Billy Idol? Finished third. Snubbed.
  • Mariah Carey finished 9th in the fan vote. At least the committee didn’t vote for her.
  • Joy Division + New Order got snubbed AGAIN.
  • Oasis? Thirteenth in the fan vote and nowhere else to be seen.

Other notes:

  • Warren Zevon and Salt-N-Pepper get to be inducted in the “Musical Excellence” category, the equivalent of a Tim Horton’s participation trophy.
  • Carol Kaye, Thom Bell, and Nicky Hopkins will also be honoured with the Music Influence Award.
  • Lenny Waronker will receive the Ahment Ertegun Award, which recognizes music executives.

The Ceremony will be in LA at the Peackcock Theatre on November 8.
