And the winner of Eurovision 2025 is…

Eurovision, the nuttiest campiest, bash*t crazy musical competition in this section of the galaxy, wrapped up in Basel, Switzerland, yesterday. If you stuck it out through the sensory overload of the production and sat through about 40 minutes of vote tallying, you’ll know that JJ (Johannes Pietsch), a singer from Austria, was the ultimate winner in a last-second bit of vote-getting.

  1. 🇦🇹 Austria – 426 points
  2. 🇮🇱 Israel – 357 points
  3. 🇪🇪 Estonia – 356 points

This was the third win for Austria, having picked up the crown in 1966 and 2014.

If you didn’t watch the show–it was available for free streaming on YouTube–here’s a recap of the 26 performances. As an aside, a record number of artists sang in their native languages.

Now here’s JJ’s winning performance of a song called “Wasted Love.” No, I don’t get it, either.
