Another Oasis Reunion Rumour: Promoters Reportedly Lining Up Opening Acts for 2017 Tour

I had a phone call with Liam Gallagher a couple of weeks ago and asked him point blank if there was any reconciliation in the offing. His answer? “I’m busy. Noel’s busy. They’re going to have to wait a little longer.” On the surface, that sounds like a “no.” Or was it a “just not right now?” (Listen to the interview here. I ask the question about a reunion towards the end.)

There’s a story circulating that at least one UK group–one with close ties to Liam–has been asked about opening some Oasis reunion shows in 2017. If this is true, the amount of money that such a tour would generate would be gobsmacking.

I’d love for it to happen. If nothing else, it would provide some fun drama. But I’ll believe it when I personally see them step onstage.

Meanwhile, here’s video of the last-ever Oasis performance from August 22, 2009, at the UK’s V Festival. (Via Noise11)
