WTF?

Another Preacher Asshole Blaming the Victims in the Bataclan Attack

This is NOT a case of WWJD.

Pastor Kevin Swanson believes that the 89 people who were killed in the Bataclan massacre got what they deserved because they “loved the devil?” Disgusting.

What’s frightening is that this guy hosted a couple of Republican presidential candidates (Ted Cruz, Mick Huckabee and Bobby Jindal) at something called “Freedom 2015: National Religious Liberties Conference a couple of weeks ago. The man has influence in the theocracy that is the United States of America.

According to Swanson. Bataclan was God’s warning to the homosexual-lovin’ people of America–a wake-up call to the country–and He’s coming for ‘Murcians next.

From The Daily Beast:

“When you get a wake-up call like what happened at France’s 9/11 last Friday night at the concert,” he said, “I think we all need to pay attention to what’s happening: This is a message from God. God is shooting a shot across the bow and we better be paying attention to this.”

Swanson had a message for those who weren’t killed, too.

“I think we need to ask the concertgoers, at least those who survived, did you love the devil? Did you love the devil’s works as your friends were being shot up in the massacre?”

It’s hard to fathom this level of assholery, yet it exists.

Need more? In the past, Swanson has said:

  • Frozen turns little girls into lesbians.
  • Gay people should face the death penalty.
  • Natural disasters are retribution for living sinful lives.
  • Finally, try this sermon entitled “The Eagles of Death.”
