Another Song for a Another Mars Mission

The Black Eyed Peas has allegedly been tapped to write a song for a future NASA mission to Mars. Much is being made about this in some quarters today.

Big deal.  Blur wrote a track for the European Space Agency’s Beagle 2 that was launched in June 2003. Had the damn thing landed–something went wrong during the final stages of the mission just before descent to the surface–that Blur track would have been the first song to be transmitted from space back to Earth.
