Another unwanted drone incident: Green Day buzzed in Detroit

A couple of weeks back, there was an unexpected (benign yet illegal) incident with a drone during an Arkells show in Winnipeg that resulted in police action. It all ended quite amicably. But with this latest situation involving Green Day, we’re not yet sure what happened.

The band was midway through “Longview” in Comerica Park on Wednesday night (September 3) when the band ran off the stage because of a “drone threat.” Naturally, there’s video.

The good news is that security looked after it and the show was able to continue. Police say that an unidentified individual (who has been located and was detained) is part of an investigation.
