The App That Helps You Avoid Concert Traffic

Everyone likes going to concerts, but getting to the gig can be a traffic hassle. How many times have you arrived three songs into the main set because you got stuck behind a thousand cars? Or spent hours in a hot car going nowhere because a million other people were going to the same festival as you? Well, it turns out there’s an app for that.

Waze, my favourite smartphone traffic app, has announced a new project that they say will help get to the show on time. I quote:

Calling all stadium, marathon, and event organizers! Today we’re thrilled to introduce the Waze Global Event Partner Program which will help partners outsmart event-related traffic and better communicate road information with attendees and the broader community.

So far, Waze has signed up a bunch of NFL teams and the Rock’n’Roll Marathon Series, which has an event in Montreal.
