Apparently Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” is the safest driving song. What about other tracks?

The Brits are at it again with their surveys and studies. Something called PassMeFast has analyzed a whack of Spotify data (1,500 songs) to determine which songs are the most distracting to drivers.

Okay, so what makes a song distracting? High energy. Danceability. How emotionally charged it is. The worst songs for drivers were energetic and emotionally charged and with low danceability. Here’s what they found.

Least Distracting:

  • Billie Eilish, Bad Guy
  • Noah Cyrus, July
  • Lewis Capaldi, Bruises
  • Bruno Mars, When I Was Your Man

Most distracting

  • Outkast, Hey Ya!
  • The Killers, Mr. Brightside
  • Jay-Z, Empire State of Mind.
