Apple Releases U2 Removal Tool (NOT a Joke)

Interesting that they’d do this.  But in the last week, the album has been likened to spam, junk mail and “waking up with herpes.” Someone apparently thinks that a little damage control is in order.

However, it should also be pointed out that the Songs of Innocence giveaway has driven 2 million downloads the last seven days. That’s double platinum by any measure. And that doesn’t count the huge uptick in sales from the band’s back catalogue. In other words, a lot of people still like U2 very, very much.
