Apple’s new update brings changes to Apple Music

If you’ve got an Apple device, you’re probably already being nagged to update to iOS 26.4. Maybe they’ll fix the stupid keyboard and useless predictive spelling feature. We do know that there are some changes to Apple Music.

“Playlist Playground” (you may have heard something about it earlier this year) makes playlists based on prompts. All you have to do is describe to your device what you want to hear. Apple Intelligence will take care of the rest. Then you can adjust “elements such as mood and energy.” You can also create your own artwork (the equivalent of decorating an old cassette mixtape), save everything to your library and then share it with other users.

At this point, Playlist Playground is only available in the US for Apple Music subscribers who use the English setting. It’s also available through the Android app.

Wait! There’s more!

Apple Music announced two ticketing partnerships: Ticketmaster and Bandsintown. This includes concert listings. Everything is also connected to other Apple apps, including Shazam, Apple Maps, and Photos. The goal is to drive ticket sales while scooping up a commission for every ticket sold.
