Survey

Are metalheads bad drivers? Let’s look at the survey.

There’s another survey (actually, it’s an ad posing as a study) that looks at music and driving behaviors. Metalheads will want to look at this.

One thousand American drivers were quizzed to determine how their music listening habits/preferences affected their driving. And what a shock: aggressive music can lead to aggressive driving. And since metal is about the most aggressive music there is…well, you know where this is going.

Let’s go through the charts.

Here’s where the connection between aggressive music and aggressive driving shows up. Out of the nine categories, metal finishes on top four times. I’m most worried about podcast listeners and their insistence on texting while driving.

Here are a few more charts. And if you drive for Uber or Lyft, selecting the right music can result in a bigger tip by up to 40%.
