Are You an Artist? Then You Also Need to be an Entrepreneur, Too

I’ve written about Coalition Entertainment’s Artist Entrepreneurship Program a number of times before, but with a new semester starting up in August, it’s worth mentioning again.

Coalition–the company that manages Our Lady Peace, Simple Plan, Finger Eleven and others–knows that if an artist is going to survive in today’s environment, they’d better be equipped with all the tools.  That includes a firm understanding of the “business” side of the”music business.”  I know what Coalition has accomplished so far with their program and I have no trouble endorsing it.

They also have an outreach program to local high schools that’s worth considering.  And yes, you can earn credits for taking part.

You can apply here.
