Artificial intelligence has created the “perfect” first dance song for weddings

One of the most difficult things for anyone tying the knot is agreeing on what song should be used for the first dance. How many people have fought over a dozen songs only to agree on “At Last” by Etta James or “We’ve Only Just Begun” by The Carpenters? Maybe what couples should do is just default to this artificial intelligence creation.

A site called Function Central used AI to combine elements of some of the most popular wedding songs into a singular track that is the “ultimate first dance song.” They did that by analyzing ten of the most popular choices–songs that speak of love, commitment, and destiny–and blending them all together in an AI way. Not only was music created but lyrics and a video, too.

The songs are:

  • “At Last” – Etta James
  • “Can’t Help Falling in Love” – Elvis Presley
  • “Baby I’m Yours” – Arctic Monkeys
  • “Let’s Stay Together” – Al Green
  • “Just You And I” – Tom Walker
  • “Perfect” – Ed Sheeran
  • “A Thousand Years” – Christina Perri
  • “Your Song” – Elton John
  • “All Of Me” – John Legend
  • “Better Half Of Me” – Tom Walker

Thoughts on this?

Here are the lyrics.

  • NIN “Closer” wasn’t on the list? So disappointing!
