Attention Tragically Hip fans: The Annual GEDfest is coming up

Tragically Hip fans will again gather for GEDfest, an annual event remembering the legacy of Gordon Edgar Downie to raise money for cancer research. Since 2018, the event has raised over $270,000 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

This year’s event will take place at The Palace Theatre in Calgary. As usual, it’s being held to the Saturday closest to the day we lost Gord. This year, it’ll be Saturday, October 19. Here are the details:

  • Opening acts include the Morning Girls and the Mic Socks and featured opener BC/DC the most accomplished AC/DC tribute act setting up headliner what many have called Canada’s best Tragically Hip tribute act, Trickle Down
  • CJAY 92 Morning Show Jesse Modz is our event host and has been known to bring a guest or two along with him
