Axis Club to return with All Axis Festival in September

The venue formerly known as the Mod Club is ready to break out of lockdown with a vengeance and be reborn as The Axis Club.

To celebrate the new beginning, The Axis Club will kick off a new era with the All Axis Festival on Friday and Saturday, September 9 and 10, to show off the new digs and new renovations.

“The Axis Club has partnered with Happin, a ticketing and live streaming platform, to provide a unique, one-of-a-kind hybrid experience. The 618 person capacity venue now includes a state-of-the-art sound system, lighting system and multiple 4k cameras, ready for live broadcasting,” the venue says.

The two-day festival will showcase renovations made to the nearly 100-year-old venue, including new production and hybrid capabilities to “produce the ultimate music fan experiences. With its partnership with Happin, a hybrid ticketing system for online and in-person sales,  the venue aims to connect fans through live events, both in-person and virtually.” It’s a nice touch, considering not everyone is ready to race back to in-person events while the pandemic is still lingering around like a bad roommate.

To sweeten the deal and help people in the music industry continue to get back on their feet, a portion of each ticket sold will be donated to the Unison Benevolent Fund, committed to supporting producers, engineers, singer/songwriters and others involved in the music industry through financial assistance and counseling programs.

Stay tuned for the festival’s lineup and for any public health-related protocols that will be required for the event. But hey — live music is coming back to downtown Toronto!
