Axl Rose is getting a graphic novel where he has to save the human race

Sumerian Comics, a publisher who loves doing this kind of thing, has announced Appetite for Destruction, a multi-volume graphic novel dedicated to Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose.

A spokesman for the publisher said this: “[The series] is a raw, neon-noir fever dream, part rock anthem, part cyberpunk prophecy. Axl and I built a world where rebellion isn’t just attitude, it’s survival. It’s Axl like you’ve never seen him before, on the front lines of a battle for humanity’s future.”

Another statement reads: “{IP company] Primary Wave is thrilled to have a partnership with Axl and to extend his legacy into a bold new medium. This graphic novel creates a new IP centered on Axl’s iconic presence and uncompromising spirit, and provides a foundation for a larger narrative that will extend well beyond the page.”

What’s it about? It’s set in Paradise City, a place where humans and robots co-exist. This version of Axl is half-man, half-robot who meets a mysterious lounge singer. When she disappears Robo-Axl swings into action and finds himself in a situation which impairals all of humanity. It’s up to Axl to save us all.
