Back to That Private New Year’s Eve Party in St. Barts: Entertainment Came from Paul McCartney and The Killers

I’ve got something of an obsession about the New Year’s Eve party held each year on the private estate of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich on his 80-acre compound on the Caribbean island of St. Barts (see my coverage of this year’s party here.) It’s a super-exclusive ticket that features a multi-million dollar fireworks display at midnight and always–always–some incredible entertainment for the A-listers in attendance.

Word leading up to the ultra-private party was that the Rolling Stones and Guns ‘N Roses were going to perform (still haven’t heard if that happened, but it’s not looking like it. Jimmy Buffet–who’s building a new house on the island–did show.). But video has surfaced of Paul McCartney and The Killers playing together at some point in the evening. Christ…
