Batman’s Enemy Has an Album

[Resident comic book nerd Brent Chittenden files this report. -AC]

We’ve seen music take on comics before but I thought this was kind of interesting. Frank John James, who describes himself as sort of a “hip hop hippie” has put together a free concept album set loosely around the Batman villain Ra’s Al Ghul.

You might remember Ra’s best as being played by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins. Created by Dennis O’Neil and Neil Adams, in the comics, Ra’s Al Ghul’s main goal is environmental harmony, which means most of humanity has got to go. He also regards Batman as an equal and often tried to get him to come over to his cause (currently Batman has a son via Talia, Ra’s’s daughter… must make Christmas interesting).

An interesting setting for a hip hop album. Check it out below!
