Beck Covering Bowie for a Car Commercial

Bech has agreed to participate in a Ford Lincoln campaign called “Hello, Again.”  All the music for these spots feature artists who “transform classic works into entirely new, fresh, original creations.”  Hello, again, indeed.

From Beck’s website:

Beck is working with Chris Milk on a special one-time performance of David Bowie’s “Sound and Vision” with an orchestra of 170 musicians. Playing on a specially constructed circular stage and working within a multi-directional sound environment, the performance will experiment with the possibilities of perspective and sound movement surrounding the audience. It will be recorded using 360º equipment and shown online February 10th.

This is a behind-the-scenes shot of what happened.
