Better Times Ahead for the Music Industry?

Maybe.  Check out this graph of predictions of global recorded music revenues created by The Economist.  While physical sales have a trajectory similar to a duck shot out of the sky, downloads and digital subscriptions are pointed up.  At some point in 2016, digital (downloads, anyway, should surpass physical in terms of revenue.  Extrapolate a little further and it looks like digital subscriptions will out-muscle physical a year or so later.  I’m unclear what “mobile and other” means.
