Big Country Returns!
Yes, THAT Big Country. They continue despite the death of vocalist/guitarist Stuart Adamson–a suicide–in 2001. His place has beeen taken by Mike Peters–yes THAT Mike Peters of The Alarm. A new album called The Journey is out next week and this si the first single.
Not bad. Not as good as recent music from a-ha, but still pretty good.
Hmmm, not sure if will be even close to the real thing…
I've been a huge Big Country fane since the first album, I've got all their stuff and I'm just going to have to listen to this a few more times. Not passing judgement on Mike Peters at all because I'm a huge fan of The Alarm as well. I just have to say that without Stuart Adamson it's just hard to "do" Big Country.
