Billboard releases its music rich list for 2020

Last year was…weird. No tours, lockdown, stay-at-home orders, pandemic fears. So how did musicians do when it comes to bringing in the dosh? Here are Billboard’s estimates for the highest-earning performers in 2020. (All figures in USD.)

1. Taylor Swift

  • Sales: $10 million
  • Streaming: $10.6 million
  • Publishing: $3.2 million
  • Touring: $0
  • TOTAL: 23.8 million

2. Post Malone

  • Sales: $712,500
  • Streaming: $8.1 million
  • Publishing: $2 million
  • Touring: $12.4 million
  • TOTAL: $23.2 million

3. Celine Dion

  • Sales: $215,000
  • Streaming: $290 (I’m not sure if that’s a typo. It’s gotta be, right?)
  • Publishing: $2.4 million
  • Touring: $17 million
  • TOTAL: $17.5 million

4. Eagles

  • Sales: $970,000
  • Streaming: $2.7 million
  • Publishing: $1.2 million
  • Touring: $11.4 million
  • TOTAL: $16.3 million

5. Billie Eilish

  • Sales: $2.1 million
  • Streaming: $5.9 million
  • Publishing: $5.7 million
  • Touring: $1 million
  • TOTAL: $14.7 million
