Is Bishop the Next Lorde?

My LA friend Pamela Chelin has a pretty good ear for up-and-coming stuff. Her latest recommendation is Bishop, another mono-named singer-songwriter in the Lorde-meets-Florence + the Machine vein with perhaps more than a touch of AWOLNATION. “River” is the follow-up to a debut single entitled “Wild Horses,” both of which are scheduled to show up on a debut EP sometime this year. (You might recognize “Wild Horses” from an Acura commercial.)

Bishop is British-born, lives in LA and grew up sneaking into Japanese karaoke bars while still underage and spent time living in Asia. Watch this woman.
