Blink-182 has been made whole. Tom DeLonge is back in!

After an estrangement that began in 2015, the classic blink-182 lineup is back together. I guess they’re doing it for the kids.

After some online stunting over the last couple of days, Tom DeLonge is back with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker for not just a new song–a track called “Edging” will be here Friday, a taste of an upcoming album–but a world tour starting in Tijuana on March 11, 2023, and extending through to February 2024.

Canadian dates are set for:

  • Toronto, May 11 (Scotiabank Arena)
  • Montreal, May 12 (Bell Centre)
  • Vancouver, June 27 (Rogers Arena)
  • Edmonton, June 29 (Rogers Place)
  • Calgary, June 30 (Scotiabank Saddledome)

Opening all the Canadian dates will be Turnstile. Tickets for all dates go on sale Monday, October 17. (The full schedule can be found here.)

Why now? First and foremost, I have a feeling that Mark Hoppus’ recent dealings with cancer brought things back into focus for everyone. Nothing like a brush with death to make everyone realize what’s important in life. And second, the money. This is going to be a huge payday for everyone involved.

Note the saucy tour video.

And then we have this preview.

@blink182 The rabbit's out of the hat. Tour’s coming. Album’s coming. Tom’s coming. Tickets on sale Monday. New song EDGING out Friday. #blink182 #edging ♬ EDGING – blink-182
