Music News

Blink-182 is in the toilet–and they’re lovin’ it. Stay with me on this.

Blink-182 has spent the last week or so teasing new music, including a poster campaign in Toronto. Those posters feature a QR code which will take you to a “stall” page.

That clock radio is also flashing a time. Click on it and the time changes to “1:82” and you’ll hear the simulation of a radio tuner and a bunch of Blink songs. If you click on that Spotify graphic, you’ll be taken to a pre-order page for…something. You can click on the image of the record to be taken to a page where you can order some kind of vinyl LP. Click on the Blink logo in the lower right-hand corner and you’ll get a video update of the band’s current tour.

Click the portable TV and you get this.

Note the phone number: (323) 861-0182. Okay, I’ll bite. I got this.

Clicking the link brings up a data capture page. Once you fill that out, another couple of texts pop up with a link to listen to “EDGING,” the band’s last single. Clicking on another text adds and address card to your contacts.

Now what? I guess we’ll see.
