Blur reunites! For four songs, anyway.

Blur is still officially a going concern, but like that classic convertible in the garage, the members only take it out for a drive on special occasions.

Such was the case during Damon Albarn’s annual Africa Express event this past week. Damon, who has been hosting the event since 2006, likes to bring out special guests (Paul McCartney, Paul Weller and Johnny Marr have all made appearances).

This time, the surprise was Blur. The band reconvened to perform four songs, including “Song 2” and “Tender,” marking the first time since 2005 they’ve appeared together in public.
